Ongoing Studies

Dr. Tax Credit works with Direct Research Studies (www.direct-research.org) to develop and deploy some of the largest clinical studies in the nation. Direct Research Studies is a recognized Research Sponsor with the National Institutes of Health. As such, these ongoing studies can be published to www.clinicaltrials.gov

In many cases, these studies will also qualify for research and development tax credit. If you have recently engaged in clinical practices that match those required in the ongoing studies, it may be a great time to jump on board.

What is the purpose of these studies?

Well, the pursuit of knowledge is a good starting place. Many healthcare professionals recognize that published studies are frequently limited by study size and may be influenced by funding motivations. Direct Research Studies gathers clinical outcomes from clinical practitioners with the goal of evaluating thousands of data sets. Statistics from these studies, even with inherent variables, can provide valuable outcome data for day-to-day application.

What do I have to do if I join the study?

Participation is voluntary at every level. If you are too busy or unable to gather data, simply withdraw at any point. In most cases, the data is straightforward, consisting of a numerical evaluation of results. Additional notes are optional, but helpful when describing unexpected outcomes. Specific details are available upon inquiry.

Does it cost me anything?

No, Dr. Tax Credit clients do not pay anything to be included in the process.

Do I get anything?

That warm fuzzy feeling of having contributed to your profession's greater good? Beyond the benefits of R&D tax credit substantiation, participants can be listed as "Contributors" on the published www.clinicaltrials.gov study. Many patients appreciate working with clinicians who are perceived as being up to date.

What if I don't see a study that fits my practice?

No worries. Studies can be built to the research needs of our clients. If you'd like to develop your own study, call or email.

What about HIPAA?

The studies do not gather any identifying PHI. If you would like to share images or other identifying data, please be sure to obtain a release from patients.
